ABSTRACT Introduction: The Pan American Health Organization reports that few countries worldwide apply skin-to-skin contact and when they use it is during an inadequate amount of time despite the multiple benefits for the mother and the newborn. Objective: To describe the application of skin-to-skin contact from the experience of the health team in a public maternal and child center in Peru. Methods: A qualitative research with a descriptive design, case study, was carried out in a non-probabilistic sample of 10 members of the health team, chosen by convenience and determined by saturation and redundancy. Data were collected through semi-structured online interviews. The information was processed manually, through thematic content analysis. Results: Three categories were obtained: a) application of skin-to-skin contact in the immediate care of the newborn, b) strategies implemented for the application of skin-to-skin contact, and c) barriers faced by the health team to apply skin-to-skin contact. Conclusions: From the experience of health personnel, it is possible to apply skin-to-skin contact after training and sensitization to the health team and conditioning of the environment, in order to implement it as a policy of the health facility.

RESUMEN Introducción: La Organización Panamericana de la Salud refiere que a nivel mundial pocos son los países que aplican el contacto piel con piel cuando lo realizan es por un tiempo inadecuado a pesar de los múltiples beneficios para la madre y el recién nacido. Objetivo: Describir la aplicación del contacto piel con piel desde la experiencia del equipo de salud en un centro materno infantil del sector público en Perú. Métodos: Investigación cualitativa con diseño descriptivo, de tipo estudio de caso, en una muestra no probabilística de 10 integrantes del equipo de salud, elegidos por conveniencia y determinado por saturación y redundancia. Los datos se recolectaron a través de la entrevista semiestructurada en línea. La información se procesó de manera manual, mediante el análisis de contenido temático. Resultados: Se obtuvieron tres categorías: a) aplicación del contacto piel con piel en la atención inmediata del recién nacido, b) estrategias implementadas para la aplicación del contacto piel con piel y c) barreras afrontadas por el equipo de salud para aplicar el contacto piel con piel. Conclusiones: Desde la experiencia del personal de salud, es posible aplicar el contacto pial a piel previa capacitación y sensibilización al equipo de salud, y acondicionamiento del ambiente, a fin de implementarlo como política del establecimiento de salud.

Resumen Objetivo: Describir los cuidados en el consultorio y en el hogar ante la vacunación infantil desde la perspectiva de las enfermeras y las madres. Métodos: Investigación cualitativa con diseño etnográfico, la muestra fueron 12 enfermeras, y 11 madres oriundas de Olmos-Perú. Los datos fueron recolectados mediante la entrevista etnográfica y observación participante registrados en un diario de campo, y procesados mediante análisis temático. Resultados: a) Cuidados en el consultorio para calmar al niño durante la vacunación, b) Educación sobre las reacciones postvacunales para los cuidados en el hogar, c) Cuidados en el hogar ante las reacciones postvacunales. Conclusión: Algunos de los cuidados que realizan las madres en su hogar, divergen con los cuidados que recomienda el profesional de enfermería en el consultorio de atención integral del niño.

Abstract To describe and analyze the intercultural nurse-mother strategies during child immunization. Methods: Qualitative research with ethnographic design, the sample was 12 nurses and 11 mothers from Olmos-Peru. The data was collected through the ethnographic interview and participant observation recorded in a field diary, and processed through thematic analysis. Results: a) Office care to calm the child during vaccination, b) Education on post-vaccination reactions for home care, c) Home care for post-vaccination reactions. Conclusion: Some of the care performed by mothers at home diverges from the care recommended by thenursing professional in the child's comprehensive care office.

ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the effect of a telenursing intervention in the context of the pandemic to prevent childhood anemia in Peru. Material and Method: Pilot, analytical, quasi-experimental study with pre- and post-test. The sample consisted of 60 mothers from a primary health care facility in Lambayeque, Peru, who were selected at convenience and then assigned to a control group (30) and an experimental group (30), with the latter being subjected to a 4 months telenursing intervention. The effect was measured by comparing the average hemoglobin and dietary iron intake before and after the intervention. Hemoglobin level was determined biochemically through blood analysis. Dietary iron intake was collected through telephone interviews following a 24-hour recall. Results: The average hemoglobin level in the experimental group did not show significant differences between the beginning and the end of the intervention (p= 0.199); whereas in the control group, the average hemoglobin level showed significant differences between the beginning and the end of the intervention (p= 0.013). The average dietary intake of iron among the children of the control group (p= 0.049) and the experimental group (p= 0.000) had a significant difference between the beginning and the end of the intervention. Conclusion: The children who received the telenursing intervention suffered no anemia and the dietary iron intake increased, thus corroborating that telenursing programs have the potential of offering more information on nutrition, favoring the health of the child, the mother and the family.

RESUMEN Objetivo: Evaluar el efecto de una intervención de teleenfermería en contexto de pandemia para prevenir la anemia infantil en Perú. Material y Método: Estudio piloto, analítico, cuasi experimental con pre y pos-test. La muestra estuvo constituida por 60 madres de un establecimiento de atención primaria de Lambayeque, Perú, que fueron seleccionadas a conveniencia y luego asignadas al Grupo control (30) y Grupo experimental (30), este último sometido a una intervención de teleenfermería de 4 meses. El efecto se midió comparando el promedio de hemoglobina e ingesta alimentaria de hierro antes y después de la intervención. La hemoglobina fue determinada bioquímicamente a través del análisis de sangre; la ingesta alimentaria de hierro fue recogida mediante entrevistas telefónicas a través del recordatorio de 24 horas. Resultados: El promedio de hemoglobina en el grupo experimental no presentó diferencia significativa entre el inicio y el final de la intervención (p= 0,199); en el grupo control el promedio de hemoglobina presentó diferencias significativas entre el inicio y el final de la intervención (p= 0,013). El promedio de ingesta alimentaria de hierro en los niños del grupo control (p= 0,049) y experimental (p= 0,000) sí tuvieron diferencias significativas entre el inicio y el final de la intervención. Conclusión: Los niños que recibieron la intervención con teleenfermería se mantuvieron sin anemia y la ingesta alimentaria de hierro aumentó por lo que se corrobora que los programas de teleenfermería tienen el potencial de incrementar información sobre alimentación, favoreciendo la salud del niño, de la madre y la familia.

RESUMO Objetivo: Avaliar o efeito de uma intervenção de telenfermagem no contexto da pandemia para prevenir a anemia infantil no Peru. Material e Método: Estudo piloto, analítico, quase-experimental com pré e pós-teste. A amostra foi composta por 60 mães de uma unidade básica de saúde de Lambayeque, Peru, que foram selecionadas por conveniência e depois designadas para um dos dois grupos de pesquisa: grupo controle=30 e um grupo experimental=30, submetido esse último a uma intervenção de telenfermagem de 4 meses. O efeito foi medido comparando a hemoglobina média e a ingestão de ferro dietético antes e depois da intervenção. O nível de hemoglobina foi determinado bioquimicamente através da análise de sangue. A ingestão de ferro dietético foi coletada através de entrevistas telefónicas por meio de um recordátorio de 24 horas. Resultados: O nível médio de hemoglobina no grupo experimental não apresentou diferenças significativas entre o início e o final da intervenção (p= 0,199). No grupo controle, a hemoglobina média mostrou diferenças significativas entre o início e o final da intervenção (p= 0,013). A ingestão alimentar média de ferro entre as crianças do grupo controle (p = 0,049) e do grupo experimental (p = 0,000) teve uma diferença significativa entre o início e o final da intervenção. Conclusão: As crianças que receberam a intervenção de teleenfermagem não sofreram anemia e a ingestão de ferro por via alimentar aumentou, corroborando assim que os programas de teleenfermagem podem oferecer mais informações sobre a nutrição, favorecendo a saúde da criança, da mãe e da família.

Abstract Introduction: Cultural practices are part of a community and will definitely influence the health care of its members; therefore, the nurse must assess these practices before providing health education to parents about post-vaccinal care. Objective: To describe the health education provided by the nursing professional and the cultural practices of mothers in a high Andean area of Peru, against the adverse post-vaccinal adverse reactions of the younger infant. Methods: Qualitative study, with ethnographic design, with a sample of 25 participants. Results: Health education and cultural practices in the face of fever, pain and post-vaccinal erythema. Conclusion: The nursing professional educates about postvaccinal care and emphasizes the use of paracetamol to control fever; but when trying to respect the mothers' habits, it indicates that they use the potato slice, the chamomile cloths, the breast milk, the vick vaporub ointment, around the area where the vaccine was injected; There is a potential risk that the desired effect will not be achieved.

Resumen Introducción: Las prácticas culturales son parte de una comunidad y definitivamente influirán en el cuidado de la salud de sus integrantes; por tanto, la enfermera debe valorar estas prácticas antes de brindar la educación sanitaria a los padres sobre los cuidados postvacunales. Objetivo: Describir la educación sanitaria que brinda el profesional de enfermería y las prácticas culturales de las madres en una zona altoandina de Perú, frente a las reacciones adversas postvacunales del lactante menor. Métodos: Estudio cualitativo, con diseño etnográfico, con una muestra de 25 participantes. Resultados: Educación sanitaria y prácticas culturales ante la fiebre, el dolor y eritema postvacunal. Conclusión: El profesional de enfermería educa sobre los cuidados postvacunales y enfatiza el uso de paracetamol para controlar la fiebre; pero al tratar de respetar las costumbres de las madres, indica que usen la rodaja de papa, los pañitos de manzanilla, la leche materna, el ungüento de vick vaporub, alrededor de la zona donde fue inyectada la vacuna; existiendo un riesgo potencial que no se logre el efecto deseado.
